Enamel Jewellery
This range of jewellery is designed to show off the vibrant enamel colours on simple geometric shapes.Cloisonne is inlay work, the 'cloisonnes' are shapes made from wire in either silver, gold or copper and partly fused into a layer of enamel, the piece is fired and then more enamel is used to fill up to the top of the wire, it is then fired again. The cloisons seperate different coloured enamels and stop them blending into one another. Champleve is the engraving, etching or repousse method to pattern, ridge or shape the metal and then transparent enamel is placed over the design.
Silver Jewellery
Sterling Silver is made up of 925 parts Pure Silver with the other 75 parts being made up of other base metals usually copper. Pure Silver 999 is very soft and is not suitable for most types of jewellery, so the other alloys are added to give the Silver the strength and durability for making jewellery.To clean your silver we recommend using a using a soft cotton cloth to gently buff the surface of the silver.A soft toothbrush with a drop of washing-up liquid and water can be used on metal and stone pieces to remove grease build up to restore lustre and shine.
